LIVE INTERNET BIDDING incurs an extra 4.95% plus VAT buyers' premium

TELEPHONE BIDDING is undertaken in good faith, but is entirely at the bidder's own risk. Neither the auctioneer nor his staff accept any legal or other responsibility for failure to execute the bid due to human error or technical fault.

RESERVE PRICES may be agreed between auctioneer and vendor. Alternatively, the vendor or his agents may bid – but the vendor may not also bid if it has been agreed that the auctioneer will be effecting reserves

UNSOLD CHARGES – 5% plus VAT applied at the auctioneer's discretion, for instance in cases where the agreed reserves have not been adhered to by the vendor.

TREATMENT OF GEMSTONES – It has become common commercial practice to treat diamonds and coloured precious gems in order to improve their colours. As long as the effects achieved are permanent, such treatments are considered entirely legitimate. In view of this, unless stated to the contrary, buyers should assume such treatments may possibly have been used.
