A George IV silver lidded flagon with Collings inscription London 1824, maker William Bateman, the domed lid with shell thumbpiece, over a baluster shaped body with acanthus and stiff leaf decoration, applied Collings armorial and reeded handle with acanthus mounts, on a plain flared foot, the underside bearing the inscription `To William Thomas Collings. BORN 4th Septr. 1823. The gift of his GOD-PARENTS William Collings and Margaret Lukis`, 9in. (23cm.) high.
