PIERRE CARDIN - a 1960's French silver bangle and similar ring, both signed P. CARDIN, also stamped with French control marks, the bangle of torque design with open sides and satin finish, the ring of open cylidnrical form with circular front inset with an ebonised circular panel (2) Diameter of bangle 6cm, diameter of ring to front 2cm Italian born French fashion designer Pierre Cardin, was known for his avant-garde style and space age designs. He was also, one of the first French couturiers to introduce the Unisex look. Likely to date from the mid-1960's this bangle and ring demonstrate his preference for geometric shapes and motifs.
