Kinable. Pregevole e raro orologio da appoggio francese in biscuit e bronzo dorato al mercurio. Il soggetto è Bacco fanciullo, con una piccola botte, su un plinto decorato con pampini, grappoli e simboli della vite. La composizione in biscuit è sottolineata da fregi in bronzo dorato al mercurio di raffinata esecuzione. Il quadrante, in smalto bianco, reca le ore in numeri romani e la firma Kinable, Palais Royal N. 131. Sfere Breguet. Movimento con regolatore a pendolo e suoneria delle ore e delle mezze. Dieudonné Kinable (attivo tra il 1790 ed il 1820) fu uno dei più importanti orologiai francesi del periodo Impero. Fornitore delle più importanti famiglie aristocratiche della cerchia napoleonica, suoi orologi figurano in musei di rilevanza internazionale, tra cui la Royal Collection britannica e collezioni private. Kinable. A fine and rare biscuit and ormolu French mantel clock, portraying Bacchus as a child with a small wine barrel, on a plynth surrounded by the symbols of wine and grapes. The refined biscuit composition is enriched by high quality ormolu friezes. White enamel dial, signed Kinable, Palais Royal N. 131. Breguet style hands. Movement with pendulum, striking hours and half hours. Dieudonné Kinable (active between 1790 and 1820) was among the most important French clockmakers of the Empire period. Appointed clockmaker to the most important noble families of the Napoleonic entourage, his clocks are now in important museums, among which the British Royal Collection and private collections.
