Please note that owing to the large number of reproduction Third Reich and Imperial German items on the market, we can give no guarantee as to the authenticity of any such items. Prospective purchasers must satisfy themselves in this regard before bidding. We WILL NOT accept any returns on these items.

In light of the current circumstances, we would like to assure you that we take your and our health and safety seriously.
Where possible, we would encourage clients to bid remotely and we will facilitate this to the best of our ability.
Bid live through our website (3% plus VAT surcharge applies - please note that if you register with thesaleroom first then their fees still apply). Live bidding is very easy to set up and use, but we are happy to talk you through the process if you are new to this format.
Clients can also leave commission bids with us or bid live by telephone. You can also bid via thesaleroom.com, which carries a surcharge of 5% plus VAT.
Condition reports and additional images will also be uploaded to our website on a regular basis and upon request.
If you would prefer to bid and view in person, we have put measures in place to ensure social distancing within the salerooms and hand sanitisers are available throughout the Auction Centre.
Postage & Packing
Most UK parcels can be sent in-house for our flat standard rate of £20 for up to 3 lots and £1.50 per lot thereafter (extra insurance details below if required). European shipping rates are available on our website. For outside of Europe we recommend Mailboxes.
Please note that all shipping to China must be via Mailboxes.
If purchasers require insurance, then they must arrange this themselves or use a courier with insurance. Please note that Lacy Scott & Knight DO NOT accept any liability for loss or damage, however caused.
For larger items or bulk/box lots, please contact our postage department for a quote at postage@lsk.co.uk
For overseas or high value lots we recommend MailBoxes (info@mbemail.co.uk ). If you choose an alternative courier we can pack for £8 per parcel.
Terms & Conditions
Buyers Premium - 20% plus VAT at prevailing rate
Payment will be taken in full from the registered card on thesaleroom.com on the Wednesday following Home & Interiors sales and on the Friday following all other sales, unless payment has already been received. Please see our Terms & Conditions for bank details if you prefer to make a bank transfer.
Important Notice: Due to high levels of fraud in the buying of gold and related items, we have had to introduce the following measures for gold and jewellery items:
- The maximum payment by credit/debit card over the telephone is £500. We strongly recommend buyers use the bank transfer facility.
- Gold & jewellery items paid for by card over the telephone will not be shipped or released to couriers for at least 5 working days after payment has been made.
We trust that potential buyers understand why we have taken these precautions. and that by being vigilant we hope to reduce the instances of credit card fraud which affect not just auction houses, but also vendors, and the unsuspecting owners of fraudulently used credit cards.
Bids - bid live through our website or at the-saleroom.com, telephone or email bids to fineart@lsk.co.uk (include your full contact details, lot number and bid amount). Our minimum acceptable bid is £5. We can arrange telephone bids with notice for lots with a minimum estimate of £300.
Condition of lots - We generally do not state condition in the lot description. Before bidding, please ensure that you are satisfied with the condition of the lots. Condition reports are available by email but please note that these are statements of opintion only and not fact.
