Description
A pair of Belle Epoque natural pearl and vari-cut diamond drop earrings, with old-cut diamond single-stone surmount and later 9ct gold screw back fittings, pearls measure approximately 10.5 by 8.4mm and 10 by 8.5mm, with report by The Gem & Pearl Lab, stating natural, saltwater pearls, estimated total diamond weight 1.20ct, length 3cm, with Garrard retailer's case, 9.1g
Overall good condition
One pearl is more pear-shape and creamier in colour than the other which is more oval shape and slightly grey in colour
Diamonds are fairly well matched and bright and lively, one diamond in the diamond shape setting at the top has a small chip to the girdle
Moderate general wear
Screw backs in working order
Box in good condition, a few minor marks to interior and exterior, in keeping with age of piece. Clips closed flush
Clients are advised to view and inspect items before bidding and they must satisfy themselves as to the condition of every lot
