A last quarter of the 18th Century Silver Pair Cased Verge Watch, CDn – London, 38259, the frosted and gilt movement with pierced and engraved cock with engraved regulation scale and blued steel screws with finned pillars, to a Roman enamel dial with outside minute track and gilt spade hands, and inner case of hinged and polished form London 1785, Maker’s Mark JD, and fitted in a later hinged and polished silver outer case marked for London 1839, Maker’s Mark GS; together with a single watch paper for G J Bates of Stalham, width 2 1/8”
