BAUME & MERCIER AN 18CT GOLD 'MARQUIS' COCKTAIL WATCH the dial having gold Arabic 3 hour markings, the case marked 'Baume & Mercier, Geneve, 20302', the inside stamped '18K, 73765', the movement stamped with the maker's name, the spring opening solid bracelet stamped for 18ct gold '0,750', diameter 12mm.* Baume & Mercier were founded in 1918 when William Baume of the well known Swiss watchmaking family met Paul Mercier at the Geneva jewellery shop, Hass some six years earlier. The firm has since had various owners including Piaget and Cartier
