Early twentieth century silver mounted glass inkwell of rectangular form, hob nail base and silver mounted collar with flat hinged lid. Hallmarked M Chapman, Son & Co Ltd (Middleton Chapman) London 1918. Height measuring 2 1/2 inches (6.5 cm).

Condition: The inkwell displays wear with general scratches, marks and tarnishing. Minor nibbles and abrasions visible to the glass. There is some distortion to the silver around the base of the collar. the hinge displays a split to the seam on one segment. The hallmarks a little rubbed but easily legible.
