A George III mahogany and cut brass travelling toilet box with silver gilt mounted fittings by John Douglas, London 1811-12, fitted with two pierced covered glass boxes, two covered glass boxes, two circular all silver gilt boxes, two mounted glass jars (the covers unmarked) and two further jars lacking the covers, engraved with an eagle displayed crest of the Lewes family, the mahogany case with brass edging and concealed handles, the cover with decorative borders, 39cm (15.25in) wide (internal tray and the mirror lacking).
