Gottesmutter "Freude aller Leidenden"Russland, 19. Jh. Laubholz-Einzeltafel mit zwei Stirnseiten-Sponki. Eitempera auf Kreidegrund, versilberter Hintergrund goldfarben lasiert. In der vertikalen Mittelachse Darstellung der auf einer Wolkenbank stehenden Gottesmutter vor einer Strahlenmandorla. In ihrem linken Arm hält sie das Christuskind. Von beiden Seiten nähern sich von Engeln geführte Kranke, Bedürftige, Unbekleidete und Hilfesuchende der Gottesmutter. Am oberen Rand erscheint der segnende Gottvater. Konturen min. rest. 33 x 28,5 cmThe Mother of God ''Joy to all who grieve''. Russia, 19th century. Tempera on gesso on woodpanel. The Mother of God holding Christ, both crowned, appearing in a rayed mandorla. Two angels indicating the Mother and Child to the afflicted people. Lord Sabaoth emerging in blessing from the open skies, the Sun and the Moon on the upper corners. Painted predomintantly with reds, greens. The background is made of silver, covered by golden lacquer. Outlines slightly restored. 33 x 28.5 cm.
