An album of mounted gelatin silver prints, c. 1916-19, mostly small-format snapshots of British soldiers, camp life, aeroplanes, etc., relating to the Wilts 2/4 Border Regiment, approx. 70 images in total incl. some loose, images mounted several to a page and captioned on mounts in ink, contemp. half leather, worn, and covers detached, small folio, together with three further photo albums with the same provenance but showing later images, including the Ark Royal and other destroyers in 1939, HMS Norfolk in 1934, the Metro Goldwyn Studios 1934, Naval Operations Teams, including scenes in Panama, Alaska, San Francisco, a further early 1930s image showing a large group outside Fox studios in Hollywood with a young Shirley Temple, etc. etc., orig. cloth, many leaves detached, some photos and cuttings loosely inserted, all oblong folio (4)
