Beatrice. London: Smith, Elder & Co., 1881. Folio. 14 chromolithographed plates (occasional light spotting). Original red calf, borders ruled in gilt, royal
monogram to upper board, gilt edges (upper board almost detached,
extremities rubbed). Provenance: Princess Beatrice (signature on her Birthday
page, the 14th of April); Sir John McNeill (inscription from Princess Beatrice). With a
telegraph (received copy) from Princess Beatrice dated September 21, 1891, from
Balmoral, to Viscount Bridport, extending her congratulations on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of his appointment). (2)
