The photograph has a long 1951 dated dedication in English to a American judge to the bottom section, he signs the dedication as ‘Sea Devil’ and then clear name signature. An interesting item. Von Luckner was an Imperial German naval officer and became a hero after the war for his exploits as the commander of SMS Seeadler. He was nicknamed the Sea Devil for his exploits.
