Description
A good late 19th century French lacquered brass petite sonnerie striking carriage clock with the original velvet lined travel case Signed Le Roy & Fils, 13 & 15 Palais Royal, Paris/ Depot 21 Regent St., London, 2506. The Gorge case with ribbed handle over an oval inspection panel, repeat button and stepped cornice to concave uprights and a concave base, the glazed sides revealing the movement within, set to the underside with a two-position selection lever offering a choice of silence or 'quarters only', the signed white enamel Roman and Arabic dial with moon hands over an alarm-setting subsidiary, the spring driven movement with bimetallic compensated balance set on a silvered platform with lever escapement striking the hours and quarters on a pair of coiled blued steel gongs, together with the original velvet-lined travel case, 17cm high For further information on this lot please visit Bonhams.com For further information about this lot please visit the lot listing

Buyers' Premium and Charges

Buyer's Premium Rates
28% on the first £40,000 of the hammer price;
27% of the hammer price of amounts in excess of £40,000 up to and including £800,000;
21% of the hammer price of amounts in excess of £800,000 up to and including £4,500,000;
and 14.5% of the hammer price of any amounts in excess of £4,500,000.
