THREE LACQUER SMALL INRO Edo period (1615-1868), 19th century The first, a gold-lacquer three-case inro in the form of a bamboo node, decorated in gold takamaki-e with a scythe lying beneath a large peony blossom, the interior of nashiji, unsigned, 7cm x 3.8cm (2Ā¾in x 1Ā½in); the second, decorated in gold takamaki-e with a butterfly hovering over a sprig of chrysanthemums on a nashiji ground, the interior of lacquered wood, unsigned, 5.5cm x 5cm (2 3/16in x 2in); the third, of black-lacquer, decorated in gold takamaki-e with pine, bamboo, and plum, inscribed on one side saikan no sanyu zu (a picture of 'The Three Friends of Winter'), with an ojime in the shape of a tsuba applied in high relief of gilt, with chidori (plovers) skimming over waves on one side and an uguisu (bush warbler) perched on a plum branch on the other, unsigned; 6.5cm x 5cm (2 9/16in x 2in). Buyers' Premium and Charges

Buyer's Premium Rates
28% on the first £40,000 of the hammer price;
27% of the hammer price of amounts in excess of £40,000 up to and including £800,000;
21% of the hammer price of amounts in excess of £800,000 up to and including £4,500,000;
and 14.5% of the hammer price of any amounts in excess of £4,500,000.
A 3rd party bidding platform fee of 4% of the Hammer Price for Buyers using the following bidding platforms will be added to the invoices of successful Buyers for auctions starting on or after 6th July 2024 – Invaluable; Live Auctioneers; The Saleroom; Lot-tissimo.
VAT at the current rate of 20% will be added to the Buyer's Premium and charges excluding Artists Resale Right.
