BRITISH COMMEMORATIVE MEDALS, Great Britain, Queen Anne, The Siege and Capture of Tournai, Silver Medal, 1709, by Martin Brunner, Genius of Tournai stands by Victory with Discord at their feet, rev panorama of city under fire from flaming bombs, SOLVTA CATENIS INSVRGIT, lettered edge, 44.5mm (MI 356/192; vL V, 141). Extremely fine and extremely rare. MI records the British Museum specimen in pewter only, however by the time the Plates were issued they had additional specimens in both silver and copper.
