A charming conceit: Gulliver’s voyage to Lilliput is presented in a suitable miniature volume; the land of the giants is described in a large folio volume. The genius of the designer is to make the two (apparently) very disparate ‘works’ feel like a ‘set’. Each volume numbered 1103, each from an edition limited to 1500 copies. Both initialed by Bruce Rogers, the designer, and arguably the greatest American typographer of the 20th century.
