Roneo’d typescript of a metaphysical work ‘Corpus Christi’. [America: undated but circa 1930-1935]. Quarto (11 x 8 ½in; 280 x 216mm). Pp. [i-v; 1-]142, printed recto only of 147 leaves. Original grey paper wrappers, with additional clear plastic covers (light discoloration to paper covers).
This appears to be an unpublished work. Aleta Blanche Baker “was born in Maine in 1880, and died in Miami, Florida, on January 19, 1943. Baker was the founding director of the Order of the Portal, a Christian occultist group headquartered in Boston, Massachusetts. In 1924 she married Leslie Talbot Baker (born 1875), who earned both his AB (1900) and MD (1906) degrees from Harvard University.” (Beinecke, Yale).
