Original photo taken the morning of the 12th of June 1912 in the battlefield after the Battle of the Monticelli in Lebda during the Turkish Italian war.
After the occupation of Lebda during the night of 11th and 12th of June 1912 the military troop of Monticelli was attacked by Arab Turkish troops.
In the verso a handwritten note in Italian language: "Il campo di battaglia. Cosi morirono ai Monticelli (Lebda) i nostri nemici la mattina del 12 giugno". (The battle field. How our enemies died in Monticelli (Lebda) the morning of 12th of June)
