The Rev. Henry Callaway Nursery Tales, Traditions, and Histories of the Zulus, in Their own Words,
Pamphlet originally published in six parts, each part with original wrappers and continuous pagination, this being Part V., with pagination starting from pp247 - 310. All six parts were later issued in one volume. It appears that a second collected volume was intended, but never published.
The collected edition of 1868 is a great rarity, but these original pamphlets are almost impossible to find.
Title in Zulu and English.
Possibly inscribed by the compiler and translator, the Rev. Henry Callaway, at the top of the front wrap "The Secretary of the Anthopological Society, Revd. Henry Callaway".
Embossed stamp of the Anthropological Society of London at top right hand corner of front wrap.
Some general age wear along the edges and spine, contents good.
John A. Blair
Springvale Mission Press, Natal
1867
First Edition
