Shaw, Irwin Two Weeks in Another Town (1960)

This first UK edition copy with dustjacket (designed by the author) was one of 14 million copies of Shaw's books sold in his lifetime [Wikipedia]. Two Weeks in Another Town was one of his more successful novels and was filmed. From the typographical error on p 62, this is presumably a first impression copy.

The dustjacket is unclipped (18 shillings) and printed in black, red, green and yellow; there is a grey, green and white design to the boards, with embossed red lettering and icon to the spine; the top page-edge is tinted rose; the endpapers are plain; and the 414 pp of text are printed on wove paper.

CONDITION. The dustjacket is lightly chipped and rubbed at the edges and flap folds (see image). The top corner of the upper board is lightly bumped. There is a bookseller ticket on the front paste-down. The endpapers and contents are complete, unmarked and neither foxed or otherwise discoloured.
