Original vintage advertising poster for Staceghem's beer. Staceghem brewery, once located in Harelbekem of the West Flanders region in Belgium was founded in 1894 in Harelbeke and closed in 1969. The brewery was demolished in 1976. This brewery has its origin in "Te Stasegem" estate - an homestead in the landed etste "Reynaertsvliete" which was already mentioned in the 16th century and was inhabited, from 1580 to the mid-19th century, by the Deconynck family. Originally it was a farm and from 1715 also a brewery and distillery. The poster is printed by Goddaer, Kortrijk and bears an original tax stamp. Features a pair of farm workers linking arms and raising pint glasses of beer. The man is wearing a mustard shirt, jeans, a small satchel with a dagger. The woman is wearing a mustard hat, a blue dirndl/ corset type dress and carries a handbag. Bold mustard yellow text set against the sky and yellow and green ground. Condition: Excellent condition. Country of printing: Belgium, designer: Unknown, size (cm): 72x53.5, year of printing: 1930s.
