Original vintage propaganda poster published by the Organisation of Solidarity with the People of Asia Africa and Latin America (OSPAAAL), an organisation founded in Havana Cuba in 1966 as a political movement to fight imperialism and defend human rights, producing revolutionary posters in Spanish, English, French and Arabic that were stapled into their Tricontinental magazine and sent to subscribers around the world. Dynamic design against the IMF International Monetary Fund and its policy of foreign debts on third world countries depicting an impoverished man being crucified on a large green shaded dollar sign marked FMI IMF against a black background with the text below in yellow letters - Deuda Externa Foreign Debt Detta Exterieure - and the OSPAAAL logo above. The IMF was formed in 1945 "to foster global monetary cooperation, secure financial stability, facilitate international trade, promote high employment and sustainable economic growth, and reduce poverty around the world" under the UN United Nations (not all members of the IMF are members of the UN); Cuba left the IMF in 1964 under the leadership of Fidel Castro (1926-2016).
