Please note, we can not guarantee condition reports will be answered when requested less than 2 hours before the sale.
We do not accept commision/absentee bids once the auction has started.
Buyers Premium 20% - as a new business we have not yet reach the VAT threshold so no VAT will be added to the buyers premium.
Any lots purchased via the-saleroom.com live auction service will be subject to an additional 4% commission charge + VAT at the rate imposed on the hammer price.
Invoices will be emailed out the following working day. We do not add P&P to the invoice unless requested by buyer.
We do generally offer posting but not for Militaria items in the this sale. They need specialist boxes and packing. We recommend you contact our local mailbox centre direct. They offer a very competitive price. Just inform them of the lot number and a price will be worked out.

All bidders are required to be registered with the auction house before bids are made. You will also need to be registered with thesaleroom.com to bid online. If you have have registered with thesaleroom.com you will auctomatically be registered with Wigan Auction House.
Commissioned bids can be left on any day on any item providing the buyer is a registered buyer with the auction house.
All goods will be collected and pay for in full by the 4pm on the 3rd working day after the auction.
No item is the property of the buyer until payment has been made in full nor shall it be removed from the auction house until the item has been presented to the buyer by one of the porters on duty.

Online Bidding
Wigan Auction House offers an online bidding service via the-saleroom.com for bidders who cannot attend the sale.
In completing the bidder registration on www.the-saleroom.com and providing your credit card details and unless alternative arrangements are agreed with Wigan Auction House:
1. authorise Wigan Auction House, if they so wish, to charge the credit card given in part or full payment, including all fees, for items successfully purchased in the auction via the-saleroom.com.
2. confirm that you are authorised to provide these credit card details to Wigan Auction House through www.the-saleroom.com and agree that Wigan Auction House are entitled to ship the goods to the card holder name and card holder address provided in fulfilment of the sale.
Please note that any lots purchased via the-saleroom.com live auction service will be subject to an additional 4% commission charge + VAT at the rate imposed on the hammer price
3. All lots must be paid for within 3 working days of the sale. Purchasers who do not pay and collect by this time may have their bids refused in future sales
4. The highest accepted bidder shall be the purchaser. If any dispute should arise between bidders, or any mistake made, the lot may be put up again. The auctioneer is the final arbiter
5. In house postage and packing by arrangement. All items are sent at the buyer’s risk and responsibility. No insurance will be arranged and we accept no liability for loss or damage. We advise that buyers should have their own insurance arrangements in place if required. Items will be delivered by Parcel Force. Larger items by other transport arrangements. International by appropriate shipper.
6. The advance in the bidding will be regulated by the auctioneer who reserves the right to refuse any bidding, or to bid on behalf of the vendor, in the case of lots (if any) upon which there is a reserve, or to withdraw, consolidate, or divide any lots before or during the sale.
7. The Auctioneer undertakes that care has been taken to see that catalogue descriptions and condition reports are accurate and reliable, but these are necessarily matters of opinion only and shall not be taken to be statements of fact. Buyers must make their own judgment as to the nature, authenticity and condition of any lot. The auctioneers do not give any warranty as to the title of the lots sold and will not be responsible for any defect in such title.
