Please note that owing to the large number of reproduction Third Reich and Imperial German items on the market, we can give no guarantee as to the authenticity of any such items.  Prospective purchasers must satisfy themselves in this regard before bidding.  We WILL NOT accept any returns on these items.

Buyers Premium - 22.5% plus VAT at prevailing rate 

Payment will be taken in full from the registered card on thesaleroom.com on the Wednesday following Home & Interiors sales and on the Friday following all other sales, unless payment has already been received.  Please see our Terms & Conditions for bank details if you prefer to make a bank transfer. 

Important Notice:  Due to high levels of fraud in the buying of gold and related items, we have had to introduce the following measures for gold and jewellery items:

  • The maximum payment by credit/debit card over the telephone is £500.  We strongly recommend buyers use the bank transfer facility.
  • Gold & jewellery items paid for by card over the telephone will not be shipped or released to couriers for at least 5 working days after payment has been made.

We trust that potential buyers understand why we have taken these precautions. and that by being vigilant we hope to reduce the instances of credit card fraud which affect not just auction houses, but also vendors, and the unsuspecting owners of fraudulently used credit cards. 

Bids - bid live through our website for free (Please note that you will still be liable for thesaleroom fees if you register on that platform first), telephone or email bids to fineart@lsk.co.uk (include your full contact details, lot number and bid amount). Our minimum acceptable bid is £5. We can arrange telephone bids with notice for lots with a minimum estimate of £300. 

Condition of lots - We generally do not state condition in the lot description.  Before bidding, please ensure that you are satisfied with the condition of the lots. Condition reports are available by email but please note that these are statements of opintion only and not fact.
