an antique. Chinese antler and enameled filigree, depicting a young maiden and a mythical animal. Republic period. A beautiful and fine set of 2 pcs. The young maidens' head and hands are made of antler, beautifully carved. Her body and robes are made of silver filigree with wonderful enameling. Her scarf is inlaid with gold, semi precious stones, garnet, turquoise..etc.. she is carrying a staff with peaches, depicting longevity. The mythical animal beside her is made of filigree, depicting a mythical stag- deer with a rui, all depicting longevity. there are losses to the back of the head, wear to the scarf. The stag has remains of gilding. Base inlaid with wire. Size : maiden- 35x26 cm.
