An early 17th century 18 bore wheellock gun, 64” overall, plain round sighted barrel 48”, large plain flat lock with external wheel; the fullstock and flat sided butt profusely inlaid overall with military designed ivory castles, charging cavalry, foot soldiers and cannon interspersed with mother of pearl discs of flowers and trees. On the opposite side of the stock similar ivory inlay but of hunting scenes of rabbits, deer, dogs and a sportsman loading his gun. The engraved ramrod pipes and fore end caps of bone, pierced iron trigger guard with roped edges, bone tipped wooden ramrod.
