Cold painted bronze of a boxer dog wearing boxing gloves. Cast in exceptional detail and the paintwork is also of a high quality. It bears the letter "B" in a urn cartouche on the top corner of the base for the Franz Bergman foundry Austria. Measures 8.2cm high including base and base 3.5cm x 4cm.

Wearing appropriate attire with miniature fashioned boxing gloves and trunks, within a painted ring within case. Most probably from a series of five by William Hart and Son's, a very similar example is held by the national trust. 48cm wide by 38cm high by 22cm deep.

Lawson E. Rudge (b. 1936), a raku fired studio pottery sculpture of a Boxing Hare, with orange gloves, L 34cm. Provenance: from the studio of Lawson Rudge. Lawson Rudge trained at Stourbridge Art College, and then the Royal College of Art, where he was in the same year as David Hockney. Rudge settled in Morchard Bishop, Devon where, with his late wife Julie, he created a home and studio. During a successful career as a commercial ceramicist, Lawson Rudge became well known for his whimsical raku pottery sculptures, including flat cows and hares; Lawson has now retired to a home outside Exeter.

Original vintage movie poster for The Tribulations of my English Grandfather in the Land of the Bolsheviks / Les Tribulations de mon grande-pere anglais au pays des bolcheviks - Also known as My English Grandfather or Robinsonade - Design features a classicly dressed English gentleman tied to a telegraph pole with two boxing gloves hanging in front of him decorated with a Union Jack and a Soviet hammer and sickle flag. A film by Nana Djordjadze presented by Cosmos films in a Grouzia-Film production, it was screened at the 1987 Cannes Film Festival, where it won the Camera d'Or. Good condition, creasing, pinholes, folds, staining. Country of issue: France, designer: Unknown, size (cm): 54x40, year of printing: 1987.
