Artist Resale Right *ARR

In certain instances, where an artist is still alive, royalties can apply to a sale of the artist?s work under the Artist Resale Right Regulations 2006. If these regulations apply, the buyer of the lot agrees to pay the auctioneer an amount equal to the resale royalty provided for in those regulations and we undertake to the buyer to pay this sum to the artist?s collection agent.

Cheques

Will be accepted from purchasers in payment of their accounts, but in all cases removal of lots will not be permitted until cheques have been cleared through the bank. It is therefore particularly emphasised that purchasers wishing to take their lots on sale day should be prepared to pay in cash, or by credit card, debit card or bankers draft. Ownership of goods, whether removed or not, will not pass to the purchaser until his cheque has cleared through the bank.

Clearance

On sale day until 5 pm and on the following Friday and Tuesday 9 am to 5pm. The auctioneers may charge storage on items not cleared by this time.
