317-310 BC. Obv: head of Athena left, wearing necklace and leather cap beneath a Corinthian helmet, a z-shaped curl of her hair escaping from the leather cap. Rev: Pegasus left, thunderbolt below. Pegasi 2-13; Sear 483 variant -; see Wildwinds.com (this coin). 8.44 grams. The thunderbolt beneath Pegasus on these staters was only used on Lokroi, Bruttium coins and not in Corinth.
Near extremely fine. A rare example, without the usual LOKRWN legend on the obverse.
