IMPORTANT NOTICES & CONDITIONS OF SALE
Buyer’s Premium
A premium of 17.5% plus VAT on the Hammer price is payable on all lots. There is NO MINIMUM BUYER’S PREMIUM.
Payments
In order to avoid delay in clearing purchases, buyers who are unknown to us are advised to arrange before the sale for the payment details to be supplied. If such
arrangements are not made, cheques will be cleared before lots can be made available for collection. Payment must be by CASH or BACS before collection. Cheques
are accepted by buyers known to us. No exceptions.
We can accept credit or debit cards through PayPal with an email address or Mobile telephone number.
A charge of 4% will be made per credit or debit card transaction.
Please make the necessary arrangements prior to bidding.
Purchaser's Condition Reports
Purchasers are reminded to examine items carefully prior to sale. Whilst the Auctioneers are willing to give verbal condition reports these may not reveal certain
imperfections in any lot. The exact physical condition, the extent of any defect, restoration, or repair must be ascertained by the intending purchasers by thorough
inspection of the lots prior to bidding at the sale or by photographs.
The Auctioneers take no responsibility whatsoever for the condition of any lots included in sales.
Potential Buyers
You are advised to check with the Saleroom before travelling any distance in case of last minute cancellations, alterations or additional lots.
Starting Times & Bidding
Please check the sale starting time and any withdrawals, as these will affect the times your lots come up. Auction speeds generally vary between approximately 150 to
200 lots per hour, but please check with the Office.
Bidding is in increments of £5.00 – no less.
Indicate clearly that you are bidding by raising a catalogue or a hand.
Commission Bids
If you are not able to attend the Sale, the Auctioneer or his staff, will bid on your behalf. Commission bids are carried out free of charge. Please fully complete the
Commission Bidding Form available in the Sale Room Office and leave it at the Reception Desk. Make sure your name, address, telephone number and email address
(if applicable) are legible. Where details cannot be deciphered or, if there is any doubt, commissions will not be executed.

Bids will not be accepted under £5.00 per lot.
Bids will be executed as cheaply as permitted by other bids or reserves, if any.
Where identical bids are left for the same lot, the earlier bid left will take precedence.
An instruction to buy with no upper limit will not be accepted.
Buyer’s Premium is subject to VAT at the current rate.
Please ensure that we receive your bid at least 1 hour before the start of the sale. It may not be possible to execute bids received after the start of the sale.

clearing purchases, buyers unknown to us are advised to make arrangements for payment or for references to be supplied before the Sale. If such arrangements are
not made, cheques will be cleared before purchases are released for collection.
