Online Bidding
Ryedale Auctioneers offer an online bidding service via the-saleroom.com for bidders who cannot attend the sale.
In completing the bidder registration on www.the-saleroom.com and providing your credit card details and unless alternative arrangements are agreed with Ryedale Auctioneers:
authorise Ryedale Auctioneers, if they so wish, to charge the credit card given in part or full payment, including all fees, for items successfully purchased in the auction via the-saleroom.com, and confirm that you are authorised to provide these credit card details to Ryedale Auctioneers through www.the-saleroom.com and agree that Ryedale Auctioneers are entitled to ship the goods to the card holder name and card holder address provided in fulfilment of the sale.
Please note that any lots purchased via the-saleroom.com live auction service will be subject to an additional 3% commission charge + VAT at the rate imposed on the hammer price
Ryedale Auctioneers offer a shipping service to buyers. They provide this service in-house.
Terms and Conditions
Buyers
All buyers must be registered before the sale
Bidding is a commitment to buy
Auctioneers decision is final
Buyers premium is applicable on all lots at the rate or 12.5%+VAT for General Sales and 15%+VAT for all Specialist Sales
All goods must be paid for before removal of items
All goods to be removed by Thursday following the sale, or are subject to a £1+VAT per lot, per day storage charge
All goods are the responsibility of the buyer once they have been paid for, even if they remain on the premises
All bidders should satisfy themselves with the condition and contents of lots before bidding
Cars are parked at owners risk, and viewing is carried out at own risk.
All breakages must be paid for
We will happily accept commission and phone bids, however we cannot be held responsible for missed/wrong bids – if there is a problem the auctioneers decision is final
If leaving commission bids, it is your responsibility to contact us within 3 days to find out if you were successful
Each lot shall be the buyer’s sole risk from the fall of the hammer and shall be sold with any faults and imperfections, the auctioneers NOT being responsible for the correct description or authenticity of any lot, and making no warranty whatsoever. The buyer is deemed to have inspected the lots and satisfied him or herself as to their condition and authenticity.
Payment
Payment is accepted in the form of cash, debit and credit card (credit card carries a surcharge of 2%), cheques only accepted with a guarantee card, no third party cheques
Sellers
General Sale charges are 12.5%+VAT plus £2+VAT lot fee and Specialist Sales carry an extra £1+VAT photograph and online bidding fee.
All electrical items must be PAT tested, there is a £3+VAT charge for this
Any singular item over £5000 is subject to a 1%+VAT insurance fee
Collection and delivery rate is £40+VAT per hour
Payment will be sent out in the form of a cheque unless otherwise arranged, 14 days after the sale for General Sales and 21 days after for Specialist Sales
Payments of less than £10 will not be made by cheque, and will be held in the office for you to collect
