John Isaacs HOF Ring
Description
John Isaacs' Hall of Fame ring from the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame. Isaacs played as a guard for the New York Rens, one of the first black teams in pro basketball. He led them to victory in 1939 at the first ever World Professional Basketball Tournament, where the Rens beat the Oshkosh All-Stars 34-25. Isaacs also played for the Washington Bears, who won the WPBT again in 1943, with Isaacs the lead scorer in that game. Although the Rens were inducted into the Hall of Fame as a team in 1963, Isaacs was named an HOFer in his own right in 2015. Size 13 ring features a central round cut clear diamond, flanked by gold laurel sprigs on a bed of transparent red. On the sides are Isaacs' name, a vignette of basketball players, the year 2015 and the Hall of Fame logo, underscored by 5 stars. Within is a 10kt gold mark by Jostens. With original Jostens box. In beautiful, fine condition. A prestigious tribute to a groundbreaking player from the earliest days of pro basketball in the United States.
