1968 Silver Olympics Medal
Description
Silver medal from the Xth Olympiad, won at the games in Grenoble, France in 1968. Designed by Roger Excoffon, the medal features a snowflake and the red rose of Grenoble emblem. Verso features a stylized pictogram of a cross country skier, with the name of the sport, Women's Relay, in French upon the rim. Measures 2.25'' or 60 mm and weighs 124 g. or 4.4 oz. (with ribbon). Minor tarnishing, near fine condition.
