Letter is addressed to Brenda Duffy, mother of Kieran James Duffy, the first member of the Royal Air Force to be killed in action in the Gulf War. 2pp. letter on one sheet, written on red and white Kensington Palace stationery, reads ''Dear Mrs. Duffy / When I visited R.A.F. Bruggen last week, it was very obvious to me how brave & exceptional the Tornado Pilots were & how your son Kieran was a member of a unique team. I can only imagine what you must be going through & words seem totally inadequate at times like this. However, I did so want for you to know how deeply I feel for you & that my thoughts & prayers are with you & your family. I will of course see what I can do about the Memorial Fund & thank you for bringing it to my attention. Yours Sincerely, Diana''.
