Upon U.S. Congressional stationery, Garfield here declines an invitation to attend a reunion of the 10th Indiana Volunteers, writing in part, ''...I should be glad to be present at the reunion of that noble regiment which did such gallant service but my engagements already made render it impossible...J.A.
