World Leaders Augusto Pinochet Signed Declaration, Appointing the German Consul for Chile Declaration signed by Chilean dictator Augusto Pinochet, signed on 29 December 1986. Pinochet was installed as the leader of Chile in 1973, and ruled controversially until 1998. Pinochet boldly signs in blue ink to the lower right of the untranslated document, which appoints one Hans-Otto Weber of Munich as German Consul for Chile. Measures 12.25'' x 17.5''.
