Early photo of Prince Albert, future King of England, signed upon the mat. Photo by Bertram Park is a handsome soft-focus bust portrait of Albert, mounted to paper signed ''Albert / 1926'' in ink at center along the bottom and also by ''Bertram Park'' in pencil or oil crayon at bottom left. In 1926, Albert, still a decade from ascending the throne as King George VI, competed in tennis at Wimbledon in Men's Doubles. Black and white matte photo measures 5.75'' x 7.75''. Signed mat measures 7.25'' x 9.75''. Display is mounted once more to paper to an overall size of 11.75'' x 16.5''. With Bertram Park original label affixed to verso bearing the plate's copyright number. Large mat shows a pencil notation to lower left corner, adhesive residue to upper corners and bucking to edges. Photo itself is near fine and signed mat is near fine save for a tiny tear to lower left edge. Very good overall. With PSA/DNA COA.
