WW2 Showa Period Japanese Army Officer’s Sword a good “bring home” souvenir example. 25 inch single edged slightly curved blade. Brass scallop edge tang mount (habaki). Cast brass tsuba of typical military design. The tang with two character signature. Wooden grip with cord binding over menuki and shagreen base. Darkened floral browned hilt fittings. Brown and blue cord Field Officer’s sword knot. Complete in its wooden scabbard with brown leather field covering. Minor wear to tip of scabbard.
