AN OUTSTANDING AND UNIQUE AMAZING GOLD TREASURE FROM THE NUESTRA SENORA DE ATOCHA CIRCA 1622 This incredible find encompasses an encrustation of three gold bars and a long gold chain fused as one with coral as found on the ocean floor. The gold mass includes; 1)a 6-1/2" long by 1-1/4" wide by 1/2" deep gold bar marked "XXI" plus two dots equating to 21.5 karats. One end is cut with a weight of 846 grams. 2) 3-1/4" long by 3/4" wide by 1/4" deep gold bar with no visible markings because it is obscured by sea growth. 3) 8-3/4" long by 1-1/2" wide by 3/4" deep gold bar marked "XVI" equating to 16 karats and having a partial royal seal. 4) gold chain. It is impossible to determine its length because it is coiled and fused with the bars and untested. 5) encrusted inside with the chain and bars could be something including the possibility of gem stones. To our knowledge this is the only "as found" gold bar cluster that has come to market and still intact as most of the gold bars were cleaned. Accompanying lot is the Treasure Salvor`s Inc. certificate of authenticity "TSI #85A-GB117" indicating that this item was listed on the manifest. A truly remarkable treasure! SIZE: As indicated above. Total weight: 3,604 grams(115.6 tr. oz). Bar one is 846 grams (27 tr. oz.), 21.5 karat; 2758 grams for the remainder (88.6 tr. oz), 16 karat and unknown karat of chain and small bar. PROVENANCE: An original investor with Mel Fisher. CONDITION: Bar number one has separated from the cluster due to the deterioration of the coral mass. It can be easily placed where it used to be. Otherwise, as found on the ocean floor. 9-26189
