The work is in very good overall condition with only minor traces of use. The acrylic glass plate measures 120 x 106 cm and the framed overall dimensions are 146.5 x 132 cm.



Alexej Iljitsch Baschlakow (1936-1980)

Alexej Iljitsch Baschlakow moved from Russia to Germany in 1945. From 1954 to 1957, he trained as a painter in Hanover. From 1958 to 1959, he studied at the School of Applied Arts in Hanover. In 1962 and 1967, he lived in Florence and Rome, which strongly influenced as to the perspective drawing and the motifs. The work of the Russian poet Michael Bulgakov provided him with further inspiration. (cbo)

Alexej Iljitsch Baschlakow (1936-1980)

Alexej Iljitsch Baschlakow übersiedelte 1945 von Russland nach Deutschland. Von 1954 bis 1957 machte er eine Malerlehre in Hannover. Von 1958 bis 1959 studierte er bei Gerhard Wendland an der Werkkunstschule Hannover. 1962 und 1967 lebte er länger in Florenz und Rom – Aufenthalte, die seine Kunst in der perspektivischen Darstellung und in den Motiven stark beeinflussten. Weitere Inspirationen fand er im Werk des russischen Dichters Michael Bulgakow. (cbo)
