Condition:

The sheet is mounted at the upper edge and in good condition. The paper is lightly toned and has signs of wear from the mounting on the reverse . The frame has slight signs of wear. The sheet dimensions are 71 x 29.5 cm, and the frame measures 53 x 43 cm.



Siegfried Anzinger (b. 1953)

Siegfried Anzinger trained as a painter at the Academy of Fine Arts in Vienna under Maximilian Melcher. In 1998 he was appointed professor at the Academy of Arts in Düsseldorf. Anzinger was one of the founders of the Neue Wilden. In 1986 he was awarded the Kokoschka Prize, in 1990 he received the Prize of the City of Vienna and in 2003 the Great Austrian State Award. Works by Anzinger can be found in the collections of the Museum of Modern Art in New York, the Bilbao Fine Arts Museum, and at the Ludwig Museum of Contemporary Art in Budapest.

Das Blatt ist am oberen Rand unter Passepartout montiert und in einem guten Zustand mit einer leichten Brünierung des Papiers und Montierungsspuren auf der Rückseite. Der Rahmen hat leichte Gebrauchsspuren. Die Blattmaße sind 71 x 29,5 cm, und der Rahmen misst 53 x 43 cm.

Seine Ausbildung in der Malerei erhielt der Österreicher Siegfried Anzinger an der Akademie der bildenden Künste in Wien bei Maximilian Melcher. 1998 wurde er als Professor an die Kunstakademie Düsseldorf berufen. Anzinger war einer der Mitbegründer der Neuen Wilden. Er erhielt 1986 den Kokoschka-Preis, 1990 den Preis der Stadt Wien und 2003 den Großen Österreichischen Staatspreis.
