Reice Milo (born 1952) finds the subjects for his opulent oil paintings in myths and fairy tales, in the Bible, in literature and art history. Reice has called his humorous depictions ‘romantic classicism’. His modern ‘icons’ are enhanced with a theatric component, in which mingle history and fantasy.



Condition:

The work is in good condition. Occasionally minor abrasions within the representation, slight color chipping in the margins, otherwise generally of good impression. The image dimensions are 270 x 207 cm, the framed dimensions 221 x 286 cm.



Milo Reice (b. 1952)

Milo Reice was born in 1952 in New York. Between 1966 and 1970, he attended the local High School of Music & Art. From 1970 to 1976, he studied at the Tyler School of Art at the Temple University in Philadelphia and Rome. Reice has been exhibited internationally. Works of the artist are at the Jewish Museum and the Dannheisser Foundation in New York as well as the Lannan Foundation in Los Angeles. (cko)
