The watercolor is in overall good condition. The paper is technique-related wavy. It is affixed to a mat at the reverse lower corners and mounted with paper tape at the reverse upper corners. The frame is in good condition with slight signs of wear. The sheet measures 27.8 x 21.6 cm. The dimensions of the frame are 47 x 37 cm.

Donald Baechler (b. 1956)

The American artist Donald Baechler has studied art at the College of Art in Baltimore, at the Cooper Union in New York and at the Städel School in Frankfurt am Main. Today, he lives and works in New York City. His works are on display in many public and private collections, such as the Museum of Modern Art, the Whitney Museum of American Art and the Guggenheim Museum in New York, as well as the Stedelijk Museum in Amsterdam, the Centre Georges Pompidou and the Musée National d'Art Moderne in Paris.
