The work is in very good condition. The sheet is laid down on cardboard. The frame mounting is partially rubbed at the corners and edges. The dimensions are 74 x 37.8 cm. The frame measures 57.5 x 48.2 cm.



Paul Wunderlich (1927-2010)

Paul Wunderlich was born in Eberswalde and was a German painter, sculptor and printmaker. In 1947, he began his printmaking studies at the Hamburg School of Art under Willi Tietze and Willem Grimm. After his studies, he worked there as a lecturer and later as a professor. During this time, he also printed for other artists, including Emil Nolde and Oskar Kokoschka. He mainly depicted erotic themes in his neosurrealistic paintings and sculptures. Wunderlich was awarded with numerous prizes for his work.

Die Arbeit ist in sehr gutem Zustand. Das Blatt ist auf Karton kaschiert. Die Fassung des Rahmens ist im Bereich der Ecken und Kanten partiell etwas berieben. Die Maße betragen 47 x 37,8 cm. Der Rahmen misst 57,5 x 48,2 cm.



Paul Wunderlich (1927-2010)

Paul Wunderlich wurde in Eberswalde geboren und war ein deutscher Maler, Zeichner, Bildhauer und Grafiker. Im Jahre 1947 begann er sein Grafik-Studium an der Kunstschule in Hamburg bei Willi Tietze und Willem Grimm. Nach seinem Studium arbeitete er dort als Lehrbeauftragter weiter und später auch als Professor. Während dieser Zeit druckte er auch für andere Künstler, zum Beispiel für Emil Nolde und Oskar Kokoschka. Er gestaltete in seinen neusurrealistischen Bildern und Skulpturen überwiegend erotische Themen und bezog sich häufig auf mythologische Sagen. Wunderlich wurde für seine Arbeiten mit zahlreichen Preisen ausgezeichnet.
