The sheet is crease-folded and slightly damaged on the margins. It is mounted on a cardboard in eight points and framed. The sheet’s dimensions are 50 x 60 cm and the frame measures 66 c 76 cm.



Heinz Mack (b. 1931)

Heinz Mack was a co-founder of the internationally influential ZERO group. Mack was especially known for his experimental light reliefs as well as for his light installations and is a multiple documenta participant; representative for Germany at the Venice Biennale in 1970. In 1957 he founded together with Otto Piene the ZERO group and started publishing the eponymous magazine. Mack was fascinated by the light and its vibration. His works are also called ‘dynamic structures’, which mainly consist of straight lines or light reliefs and were made of different materials, such as films, acrylic glass and aluminum. In the later works of the artist, his enthusiasm for the movement is visible, which made him one of the main representatives of kinetic art.

Zustand:

Das Blatt ist Knickfaltig und hat leichte Randläsuren. Es ist in acht Punkten auf eine Rückpappe montiert und gerahmt. Die Blattmaße betragen 50 x 60 cm und der Rahmen misst 66 x 76 cm.

Heinz Mack war einer der Mitbegründer der international, einflussreichen ZERO Gruppe. Mack wurde besonders durch seine experimentellen Lichtreliefs und seinen Lichtinstallationen bekannt und ist ein mehrfacher documenta Teilnehmer; Vertreter für Deutschland auf der Biennale in Venedig 1970. Im Jahr 1957 gründete er zusammen mit Otto Piene die Gruppe ZERO und gibt ein gleichnamiges Magazin heraus. Mack war fasziniert vom Licht und von seiner Vibration. Seine Werke werden auch als so genannten „Dynamischen Strukturen“ aufgefasst, die vor allem aus Geraden oder Lichtreliefs bestehen und aus verschiedenen Materialen, wie Folien, Plexiglas und Aluminium gefertigt wurden. In Macks späteren Werken kann die Begeisterung für die Bewegung hinzu, wodurch er zum Hauptvertreter der Kinetischen Kunst wurde.
