LAWRENCE T. E.: (1888-1935) British Lieutenant-Colonel, known as Lawrence of Arabia. D.S., J. H. Ross, being a signed cheque, London, 11th June 1929. The partially printed blue and black cheque, completed entirely in Lawrence`s hand, is drawn on Martins Bank Limited and made payable to Mr. George Brough for the sum of £11-3-0. A red ink bank cancellation runs slightly through the signature, although does not in any way affect it`s legibility. VG George Brough (1890-1970) British Motorcycle Manufacturer & Racer. Lawrence was tragically fatally injured in an accident on his Brough Superior SS100 motorcycle in Dorset, 1935
