Browne, occn. minor foxing or toning, first four plts. with imprint, caption on the first plt. in part 8 omits the word ‘in’, third plt. in part 15 with the long caption, parts 8 and 11 unopened, orig. printed blue wrappers, some minor chipping to spine ends, early ms. ownership names on upper covers of parts 3, 4, and 7, booksellers’ tickets on upper covers of parts 7, 12, and 17, slim 8vo, contained in a green cloth folder, with armorial bookplate of Alain de Suzannet, within a dark green morocco bookform case with pull-off lid, spine gilt lettered and panelled between raised bands. Provenance: from the library of Comte Alain de Suzannet, whose important collection was sold at Sotheby’s on 22nd November 1971.
