Original black cloth boards, title gilt on spine, light grey dust-jacket lettered in darker grey (jacket with a few small chips and tears, cloth faintly dust-soiled corresponding to jacket chips), housed in a burgundy cloth chemise and slipcase. Provenance: Bradley Martin (bookplate on pastedown of chemise). FIRST EDITION, FIRST ISSUE of only 250 copies: 'five hundred sets of sheets were printed, but in the first instance only two hundred and fifty were bound and issued on or within a very few days of 18th December 1934 at 3s. 6.'.
